The Linn County Historical Preservation Commission has initiated and supported the nomination of several historic properties or structures throughout Linn County.
Listing on the National Register honors the history and significance of our local built environment, encourages further preservation efforts, and enables federal, state and local agencies to consider historic properties in the early stages of planning projects. It allows property owners to qualify for financial incentives such as grants and historic tax credits as well as lays the foundation for development of heritage tourism programs. Below are the successful Linn County nominations for listing on the National Register of Historic Places.
