In addition to vaccination, Linn County Public Health and the CDC continue to recommend taking precautions to protect yourself and others from COVID-19 based on the COVID-19 Community Level in our area. At all levels, people can wear a mask based on personal preference, informed by personal level of risk. People with symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should wear a mask.
CDC recommends that anyone with any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 get tested, regardless of vaccination status or prior infection; and follow quarantine and isolation guidance.
Iowans with questions about vaccines for themselves or loved ones should consult with their healthcare provider. Vaccines are free, safe, and widely available.
