LIFTS

What We Do

LIFTS provides safe, door-to-door transportation for eligible seniors and persons with disabilities in the metro area of Cedar Rapids, Marion, and Hiawatha.

LIFTS also provides public transportation to all Linn County residents outside the metro area.

Professional, Friendly, and Caring Drivers

LIFTS drivers possess Commercial Drivers Licenses (CDL) and professional training to provide excellent customer service and safe transportation.

Door-to-Door Service

LIFTS drivers assist riders on and off the bus at their pickup and drop-off locations.

Wheelchair Accessible Buses

All LIFTS buses are designed to provide rides to all riders including those using wheelchairs, walkers, canes, and scooters.

On-Time Service

LIFTS strives to provide on-time service 100% of the time. Rides are scheduled using electronic software to ensure our drivers arrive on time.

  • Rural Linn County Communities: 7 a.m.-5 p.m.

Saturday:

  • Cedar Rapids Metro Area Only: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

LIFTS is committed to ensuring no person is excluded from participation in, or denied the benefits of its services on the basis of race, color, or national origin as protected by Title VI. If you believe you have been subjected to discrimination by LIFTS under Title VI, you may file a written complaint or call the paratransit offices. Title VI complaints should be filed as close to the date of the alleged discrimination as possible, but no later than 180 days.
