Watercraft Concession
In-Park Rentals
The concession provides in-park rentals of paddleboats, canoes and kayaks. Calm backwater channels and the slow-flowing Wapsipinicon River provide miles of water trails throughout the park. Volleyballs, horseshoes and various snacks are also available at the concession for a nominal fee.

Canoe Trips
Visitors are shuttled to one of the three up river drop points on the Wapsipinicon River. The float trip back to the park is very scenic and proceeds at a relatively slow pace. Reservations may be made by contacting the concession in person or by phone.
Shuttles leave at fixed times:
- 9 a.m. (6 hour trip)
- 11 a.m. (4 hour trip)
- 1 p.m. (2 hour trip)
Groups must arrive at least 45 minutes prior to departure for a pre-trip orientation. All canoes are due back at the concession by 4:30 p.m.
Groups of any size can be accommodated, pending equipment availability, health, water, and weather conditions.

Hours
The Watercraft Concession, located at 4861 Horseshoe Falls Road Central City, is open 7 days a week from the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend through the third weekend in August. It is open weekends only to the end of September. as weather/river conditions permit and staff is available.

Fees
In-Park Rentals
Canoes and Kayaks $10/hour or $25/day, $35 overnight rental for registered campers
Paddleboat $10/hour
Life jackets $1/hour
Horseshoes $1/hour
Volleyball $1/hour
Special pricing is available for in-park rentals to youth groups, day camps, scouts and other groups weekdays from 1 5 p.m. Other times available by appointment.

^Weekday trips must be on the water by noon. Weekday trips receive a $5 canoe discount.
