Linn County Conservation owns and manages more than 8,000 acres of public resources throughout the county. Resources include:
- 29 areas, including parks, trails, natural areas and preserves
- Over 100 miles of trail
- Over 300 campsites
- An observatory southeast of Cedar Rapids near Mount Vernon
- An award-winning nature center at Wickiup Hill
- An arboretum at Morgan Creek Park
- A watercraft rental facility at Pinicon Ridge Park
- A modern shooting range at Matsell Bridge Natural Area
These public resources allow space for activities such as camping, hiking, biking, geocaching, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, fishing and hunting, and so much more!
