Laboratory Services

Linn County Public Health has an on-site laboratory that offers the following services:

Analyzes water samples from private and public wells to determine whether a source is providing water suitable for drinking
Assist individuals with troubleshooting any issues with water wells
Analyzes water samples from pools and spas to ensure safety in public swimming areas
Analyzes ponds to determine levels and sources of bacterial contamination
Conducts tests for the Clinical Services in conjunction with the sexually-transmitted disease outreach clinics
Analyzes blood samples for lead levels in blood in conjunction with the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (CLPPP)
