The Civil Division is responsible for serving various legal notices, including original notices, subpoenas, garnishments, writs, domestic no contact orders, restraining orders, and court orders to citizens throughout Linn County. Condemnation and sheriff sales are also part of the Civil duties. By the service of these notices, the Civil division acts as an extension of the court services.
All notices for service by the Sheriff’s Office must be mailed or hand-delivered; we will not accept any notices for service through email.
