Partisan Primaries

Primaries will be held for the Democratic and Republican Parties on June 7, 2022. 

In the State of Iowa, primaries are closed which means a voter will need to declare a party (Democrat or Republican) in order to participate in the primary.

Primary winners will move on to the November 8, 2022 General Election.

Polling places will be open on election day from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Early Voting Hours for the June 7th Primary:

  • Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Memorial Day - Monday, May 30: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Saturday, June 4: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sunday, June 5: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
