[ARCHIVED] Linn County Treasurer’s Office Now Shows Wait Times Online

Treasurer's Office Lobby

The Linn County Treasurer’s Office has launched a new tool to help customers who access services from the Treasurer’s Office. Customers can now find the current average wait time in the Treasurer’s Office by visiting Linn County’s website. The link to the wait time is available on the Treasurer’s Office webpage and on the left side of Linn County’s homepage.

The link to the wait time shows the number of customers waiting in the lobby, the average current wait time and the maximum wait time.

“This will help customers who may have time constraints to complete their business decide if it’s the right time to stop in, or if they must come down, they can know the approximate wait time they could expect and not be surprised,” said Linn County Treasurer Sharon Gonzalez. “This is one more improvement we have made to increase customer satisfaction.”

As a reminder, vehicle registrations can be renewed online at any time at www.iowataxandtags.gov

Customer satisfaction is one of three strategic outcomes identified in Linn County’s strategic plan. To advance this goal, the Treasurer’s Office has made a number of enhancements including adding three new positions to serve the growing number of customers, cross-training employees to handle multiple functions and adding a self-serve computer kiosk in the lobby for online vehicle registration renewals.
