[ARCHIVED] Linn-Mar Community School District Special Election

Early, absentee voting begins Monday, August 20 in Linn County for the Linn-Mar Community School District Special Election. The school district is seeking approval for a bond issue. 

Voting In-Person:
Beginning August 20, individuals may vote in-person at the Election Services Department of the Auditor’s Office. The office is located in the Linn County Public Service Center, 935 2nd Street SW in Cedar Rapids. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 


Voting by Mail:
Voters may also request an absentee ballot by mail. These voters may return their ballot by mail or hand-deliver their ballot to the Election Services Department. Ballots returned by mail must be postmarked on or before Monday, September 10 in order to be counted.


Satellite Voting: 
Linn-Mar CSD is hosting a satellite, or early voting station at the High School football game on Friday, September 7 from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. The Linn-Mar Football Stadium is located at 3451 N 10th St in Marion. 


Election Day Voting Locations:
School elections in Iowa may use “Voting Centers.” Voting centers allow all Linn-Mar voters to choose their voting location. The benefit is to provide various voting options for voters while running a more cost-effective election. In this election, voters may choose from any of the following six locations:
