[ARCHIVED] Linn County Public Health Releases Annual Report

At a joint meeting on Friday, October 12, Linn County Board of Health Chair Mark Taylor and Linn County Board of Supervisor Chair John Harris jointly released the Linn County Public Health (LCPH) FY18 Annual Report.


“The annual report highlights the significant work accomplished by LCPH staff and how that work helps improve the lives of Linn County residents. Our staff work to prevent disease and injury, promote healthy living, protect the environment, and ensure public health preparedness,” said Pramod Dwivedi, director of Linn County Public Health.


Highlights from the FY18 Annual Report include:

  • Receiving the 2018 Local Health Department of the Year award from the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) as a medium size local health department
  • Groundbreaking of the Dr. Percy and Lileah Harris Building – the future home of Linn County Public Health and Child and Youth Development Services
  • Launching the LCPH 2018-2020 Strategic Plan
  • Completion of the 2018 Community Health Assessment
