[ARCHIVED] Join Us May 8 for Supervisor Stacey Walker’s State of the County Address

State of the County May 8 at 11:30 a.m. at Hotel Kirkwood

What are some of Linn County’s most recent accomplishments? What priorities are County leaders focusing on? And how does the County’s work impact you? Find out how Linn County is helping people and solving problems at the State of the County address on May 8 when Linn County Supervisor Chair Stacey Walker shares an inside look at what Linn County leaders have accomplished and the vision for the future.

You won’t want to miss this!

“It is my hope to lay out a vision of government that addresses the hard problems in our communities, and helps as many people as we can along the way,” said Supervisor Walker. “Now more than ever, people need a reminder that government can do good work and can be a catalyst for progressive change.”

The event is open to the public. Tickets are required to reserve a seat for lunch. Free seating is available for those who wish to listen to the presentation and not eat lunch.

Linn County State of the County Presentation and Luncheon
Wednesday, May 8, 2019
11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
The Hotel at Kirkwood Center
7725 Kirkwood Boulevard SW, Cedar Rapids

Reservation Information:

The State of the County Luncheon is hosted by the League of Women Voters of Linn County. Tables of 10 are available for $400 and individual tickets are $40. Please visit the League of Women Voters website for more information or to reserve a table. The reservation deadline is May 1. Sponsorships still are being accepted.

Funds raised by the State of the County event are used to support League of Women Voters sponsorship and facilitation of non-partisan voter-education materials and forums.
