[ARCHIVED] Linn County Board of Supervisors Awards $200,000 in Economic and Community Development Funds

Economic and Community Development Fund

The Linn County Board of Supervisors last week awarded $200,000 in economic and community development funding to 15 Linn County organizations (PDF).

“We are proud to support the important work being accomplished in our community by these organizations. This investment will help them expand their reach so more of our residents can be positively impacted,” Linn County Supervisor Chair Stacey Walker said.

Thirty-one organizations applied for funding with total requests exceeding $800,000. “All of the requests were worthy, which made for some difficult decisions,” Walker said. “There are so many organizations doing great work and making a difference here in Linn County.”

The Linn County Economic and Community Development Fund was established to foster and support economic growth and enhance quality of life in Linn County. This is a competitive application process. Applications are accepted on an annual basis. For more information, visit www.linncounty.org/economicdevelopment.
