Linn County, IA – September 3, 2014 – The Linn County Treasurer’s Office announces that the semiannual installment of property and mobile home tax bills will be mailed on or before September 11 and are due September 30, 2014. This is the last day to pay the first half without penalty. A penalty of one and one half percent will attach to each late payment beginning October 1. Property taxes can be paid by mail, in person or over the phone.
Currently, payments cannot be made online at www.iowataxandtags.com due to conversion to a new real estate property tax system. The Treasurer’s Office is working to have the online system available for payments as soon as possible.
New this year, property owners can sign up to receive an email reminder to pay the spring and fall installments of property taxes.
