The Linn County Early Childhood Iowa (ECI) Board invites community members and elected officials to serve as a Board member. The primary role of the local board is to analyze community needs and to award funds to early childhood programs to ensure the best results for young children, ages prenatal through 5 years, and their families in Linn County.
The board typically meets the 4th Tuesday of the month from 3:30-5:00 p.m. Board terms are for three years. Linn County was authorized in 1998 as one of the first three Early Childhood Iowa areas in Iowa to receive early childhood funding from the State legislature. The board’s vision is for every child to have access to quality services empowering them to be healthy and successful.
