[ARCHIVED] Linn County Public Health Releases Toolkit to Support Businesses During COVID-19

Business Guidance Toolkit

Linn County Public Health, in coordination with community partners, recently released a toolkit to area businesses in response to COVID-19. The toolkit illustrates the unique role businesses play in protecting the health and safety of their workforce and as a result, our community.

This toolkit for businesses contains information from the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) in preventing, detecting, and managing COVID-19 outbreaks within a business. The toolkit also includes links to multi-lingual public health information and mental health guidance for Linn County employers and their staff.

Additionally, a general reservoir of information pertaining to businesses compiled from the Cedar Rapids Gazette, Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance, and Marion Economic Development Corp (MEDCO) is included within the toolkit. These resources range from workforce support such as job seeking and career training support services for furloughed or laid off employees, to financial resources to help small and medium sized businesses deal with the economic shock caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
