[ARCHIVED] Absentee voting begins Dec. 19 for special election in Springville

The City of Springville will have a special election on January 6, 2015 to fill a vacant seat on the city council.

Absentee ballots for this special election will be available beginning Dec. 19 at the Linn County Election Services office in the Linn County Public Service Center, 935 2nd St. SW, Cedar Rapids.

Below are the three ways for eligible voters to participate in this election:

• Vote Absentee By Mail
Request forms may be obtained from www.LinnCountyElections.org or by calling Election Services at 319-892-5300, ext. 1
Request forms can be mailed to 935 2nd St. SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404-2100
All requests must be received by Friday, January 2, 2015 at 5:00 PM.
Ballots returned by mail must be postmarked by Monday, January 5, 2015.

• Vote Absentee In-Person
Office hours for absentee voting are Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

• Vote at your polling place on Election Day - Tuesday, January 6, 2015
Voting hours will be 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM
