Linn County’s fiscal year 2014 annual report was issued today and is now available on Linn County’s website at www.linncounty.org. The report highlights accomplishments Linn County government has achieved in the past year and makes Linn County’s financial information readily accessible and easily understandable to the general public without a background in public finance. This year’s report also takes a broader look at the mental health and social services provided by Linn County.
Copies of the report are also available at the Linn County Public Service Center, 935 2nd St. SW, Cedar Rapids and are being distributed in today’s edition of The Gazette (Dec. 22) as well as the Mount Vernon-Lisbon Sun on Jan. 1, the Linn News-Letter on Jan. 6 and the Marion Times on Jan. 8.
Linn County has earned the award for “Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting” from the Government Finance Officers Association for 16 consecutive years.
