[ARCHIVED] Linn County Awards Economic and Community Development Funds

The Linn County Board of Supervisors this week awarded $130,000 in economic and community development funding to eight Linn County organizations.

“We are pleased to support the work of these community organizations. Each project will have a direct impact on improving the quality of life of Linn County residents. The total amount requested always exceeds the amount of available funding, which makes selecting the grant recipients difficult. It was especially difficult this year because the need is so great and there were many worthy organizations that applied,” Linn County Supervisor Chair Ben Rogers said.

Twenty-two organizations applied for funding with total requests exceeding $400,000.

The Linn County Economic and Community Development Fund was established to foster and support economic growth and enhance quality of life in Linn County. This is an annual competitive application process.
