[ARCHIVED] Absentee ballots available now for College Community School special election

Voters from the College Community School District will vote April 7, 2015, on a public measure seeking approval to issue General Obligation Bonds in an amount not to exceed $49,500,000. Absentee ballots for this special election are available now at Linn County Election Services in the Linn County Public Service Center, 935 2nd St. SW, Cedar Rapids.

Below are the three ways for voters of the school district to participate in this election:

• Vote Absentee By Mail
Request forms may be obtained from or by calling Election Services at (319) 892-5300, ext. 1. Request forms can be mailed to 935 2nd St. SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404-2100.
All requests must be received by Friday, April 3 at 5:00 PM.
Ballots returned by mail must be postmarked by Monday, April 6.

• Vote Absentee In-Person
Office hours for absentee voting are Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Satellite voting station at Prairie High School on Tuesday, March 10, 2:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

• Vote at your polling place on Election Day – Tuesday, April 7, 2015
Voting hours are from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Voting locations are listed below.

Vote Centers
Prairie High School, 401 76th Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids
Ely Public Library, 1595 Dows St., Ely
Fairfax Public Library, 313 Vanderbilt St., Fairfax
Swisher American Legion Post 671, 68 3rd St. SE, Swisher

Note that voters may choose to cast their vote in any one of the vote centers listed above.

3/27/2015 Last Day to Pre-register to Vote for this Election
4/3/2015 Last Day to Request an Absentee Ballot to be Mailed
4/6/2015 Last Day to Vote Absentee (Auditor’s Office)
4/7/2015 Election Day
4/13/2015 Canvass of Votes (date is optional - either Monday or Tuesday after election)
