Linn County welcomed newly elected District 3 Board of Supervisor member Louis J. Zumbach and welcomed back Linn County Sheriff Brian Gardner and Linn County Auditor Joel Miller in a swearing-in ceremony on December 30, 2020, at the Jean Oxley Linn County Public Service Center.

Zumbach most recently served in the House of Representatives in the Iowa State legislature.

“I am looking forward to serving Linn County for the next term as District 3 Supervisor,” said Zumbach. “I believe that my experience in the State House, Linn County Fair Association, Linn County Extension, and Linn County Planning & Zoning Commission, along with a lifetime of running a farm and small business, provides me with the problem solving and leadership experience necessary to provide and understanding ear and lead change for our county.”

Sheriff Gardner and Auditor Miller are both now serving their fourth 4-year terms in office.

The Sheriff’s Office has four command staff deputies and the Auditor’s Office has three deputies who all took an oath of office.
