The Linn County Board of Health (BOH) is honored to host the Deputy Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Director of the CDC’s Office for State, Tribal, Local, and Territorial Support (OSRLTS), Judith Monroe, MD, as the keynote speaker at the 2015 BOH celebration. Dr. Monroe has established herself as a leader in the public health field. During her time as the Deputy Director, Dr. Monroe has been instrumental in advocating for a stronger public health system including working to align public health, healthcare, and community services across the nation.
