The absentee voting process is underway in Linn County for the Nov. 2, 2021 combined City / School Election. Voters can choose one of three options if voting absentee in this election:
Vote by Mail
To vote by mail, voters must submit an absentee ballot request form to the Linn County Auditor’s Office. The office must receive the request form no later than 5 p.m. on Oct. 18. Request forms are available online, in the PennySaver, or by calling the Linn County Auditor’s Office at 319-892-5300 opt 1. Mail-in absentee ballots must be received by the Auditor’s Office no later than 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021.
In-Person
In-person voting begins Oct. 13 and will be available weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Nov. 1 at the Elections Office located in the Jean Oxley Public Service Center, 935 2nd St. SW, Cedar Rapids.
Satellite Voting
Three satellite voting locations will be available to all voters of Linn County:
- Lindale Mall (adjacent to the Children’s Play Area at the east end of the mall) from Oct. 13-31, Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Sundays noon to 4 p.m.
- Wellington Heights Church at 1600 4th Ave SE, Cedar Rapids on Saturday, Oct. 23 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- IBEW Local 405 at 1211 Wiley Blvd SW, Cedar Rapids on Sunday, Oct. 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
