[ARCHIVED] Linn County Conservation teams with Green Iowa AmeriCorps for Book Drive

Linn County Conservation Logo

Linn County Conservation is proud to partner with Green Iowa AmeriCorps and other community organizations for a book drive now through Jan. 16. Books are being collected to distribute back into the community for residents who may have limited access to books and other educational materials. Linn County is a host site for two members from Green Iowa Americorps.

“Our purpose is to help provide books to underrepresented communities,” says Green Iowa AmeriCorps member Michael Garner. “We hope people will find some books they no longer use and drop them off to one of our partner locations. Together, we can help empower under-served children to read their way to a better future.”

Donations may include:

  • Civil Rights books
  • Environmental books
  • Children’s books
  • Young adult books
