Linn County’s fiscal year 2013 annual report was released Dec. 16, 2013, and is now available on Linn County’s website. Printed copies are also available at Linn County offices and were distributed in The Gazette (Dec. 16) as well as the Linn News-Letter (Dec. 24), Marion Times and the Mount Vernon-Lisbon Sun (Dec. 19).
“The annual report makes Linn County’s financial information easily accessible to the public. It’s also an opportunity for us to show residents the many different ways county government makes a difference in their lives and the accomplishments Linn County has achieved in the past year,” said Linn County Board of Supervisors Chairman John Harris.
Linn County began making annual reports available after the Government Finance Officers Association established the Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR) Program. The report makes Linn County’s financial information readily accessible and easily understandable to the general public without a background in public finance.
Linn County has earned the award for “Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Reporting” from the Government Finance Officers Association for 15 consecutive years.
