[ARCHIVED] Linn County Auditor’s Office Sending Voter Registration Mailer

Voter Registration Application

In preparation for the 2022 Primary and General Elections, the Linn County Auditor’s Office is mailing voter registration applications to households without active registered voters. Linn County citizens receiving the mailer are encouraged to submit completed applications to the Auditor’s Office per the instructions included with the applications.

This mailer is intended for use by any person eligible to vote in any local, state, or Federal election. Each eligible voter will need to complete their own individual application to be registered. Completing and submitting a voter registration application, now, will reduce the amount of time voters wait to vote on Election Day or at early voting sites by reducing the number of Election Day registrations and change of address transactions.

Election Forms and Information

For those interested in voting by mail, the earliest dates to submit an absentee ballot request form is March 29, 2022 for the Primary and August 30, 2022 for the General Election. Ballots will be mailed beginning 20 days prior to each respective election.

Voter registration forms and absentee ballot request forms can be downloaded on the Linn County website: https://www.linncountyiowa.gov/157/Election-Services

Voters can find their polling place, sample ballots, election districts, and other information using the Election Services Lookup Tool: https://linncountyelections-ia.gov/lookup/
