The Linn County Treasurer’s Office announces it will close to walk-in customers beginning at noon today (July 14, 2022) due to a staffing shortage caused by COVID-19 positive cases and exposures. The office will also be closed on Friday, July 15 and will reopen at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, July 18. The Treasurer’s Office will continue processing transactions received through the mail, drop box, and email and responding to the heavy volume of phone calls as staffing levels allow.
A white drop box is available outside the Public Service Center (935 2nd Ave. SW) for anyone who needs to drop off payments, vehicle registration renewals, or other paperwork. Vehicle registration renewals and property taxes can be paid online at www.iowataxandtags.org.
We appreciate the public’s patience and understanding as we navigate through this difficult situation.
Help Slow the Spread of COVID-19
