[ARCHIVED] Linn County Board of Supervisors Awards $200,000 in Economic and Community Development Funds

13 Local Groups Receive Economic Community Development Funds

The Linn County Board of Supervisors this week awarded $200,000 in economic and community development funding to 13 organizations in Linn County. Total requests for this year’s funding was almost $330,000.

The following organizations were awarded economic development funding this year:

  • African American Museum: Voices Inspiring Progress Capital Project  $30,000
  • Affordable Housing Network: Sustaining Wellington Heights Neighborhood Progress  $13,000
  • City of Springville: Emmons Park  $22,500
  • Eastern Iowa Arts Academy: Arts VanGo!  $10,000
  • Hiawatha Public Library: $5,000
  • Junior Achievement: It All Adds Up  $9,000
  • Linn County Freedom Rock Foundation: Linn County Freedom Rock  $19,000
  • Linn-Mar Community School DistrictVenture Academics  $15,000
  • Marion Public Library: $10,000
  • NewBo Market: The Hatchery Program    $22,000
  • Riverview Center: Trauma Informed Care   $16,000
  • Tanager Place: Freedom Schools Afterschool Program   $21,500
  • Trees Forever: Our Woodland Symposium   $7,000
