[ARCHIVED] Five Seasons Stand Down and Resource Fair to be held Sept. 4

The Linn County Veteran Affairs, in partnership with the Cedar Rapids Metro Area Veterans Council, Iowa City VA Medical Center and Linn County Continuum of Care, will hold the 10th Annual Five Seasons Stand Down and Resource Fair from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 4 at Veterans Memorial Stadium, 950 Rockford Road SW, Cedar Rapids.

The Five Seasons Stand Down and Resource Fair helps people who are homeless or near-homeless transition to community living by providing access to human service agencies, including benefits counseling (social security and veterans), employment and training assistance, eye exams, health care screenings, housing services and more. In addition, Great Clips will provide haircuts to interested participants. Approximately 70 service agencies will participate.

Admission is free, but pre-registration is strongly encouraged. To register, visit the VA Outreach Center, 1535 First Ave. SE, Cedar Rapids, or Linn County Veteran Affairs, 1240 26th Ave. Court SW, Cedar Rapids.
