Buffalo Creek Park Reopened to the Public

The Linn County Conservation Department has announced that Buffalo Creek Park has reopened to the public, including the campground. A water pressure issue within the campground has been repaired. However, the sanitary RV dump station will not be operational until further notice. “We appreciate the public’s patience and support as we continue our park renovations this year,” said Ryan Schlader, Linn County Conservation Community Outreach Specialist. "Buffalo Creek Park campers who need access to the dump stations may use the facilities available at the Pinicon Ridge Park campgrounds near Central City, located six miles away. There are no additional charges.”

Campers and park visitors should proceed with caution as renovations continue throughout the year. 19 additional campsites will be added from the current 13. Additional upgrades include a new shower house and restroom facility, as well as a new playground and reservable open-aired shelter for the park. These improvements are expected to be completed during the 2024 camping season.
