The Linn County Treasurer’s Office is working to improve citizen customer satisfaction and office effectiveness and efficiency.
The Treasurer's Office, which served nearly 109,000 customers in person last year and received 74,000 phone calls, recently completed an assessment with McGladrey LLP to review staffing levels, transaction processes and technology maximization. The Treasurer’s Office is now working to implement the assessment’s recommendations, including cross-training employees, implementing a call center environment phone system, and promoting online payment options for property taxes and vehicle registration renewals to reduce the number of people waiting in line at the Treasurer’s Office.
Online payments of property taxes and vehicle registration renewals can be made at www.IowaTaxAndTags.gov.
