Linn County Board of Supervisors Awards $100,000 in Economic & Community Development Funds

ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FUND

The Linn County Board of Supervisors this week awarded $100,000 in economic and community development funding to 13 Linn County organizations. Requests for this year’s funding totaled more than $428,000.

The purpose of the Linn County Economic & Community Development Fund is to foster and support economic growth and enhance quality of life in Linn County. This is an annual competitive application process. The funding requests annually exceed the amount of funding available. If the Board does not fund an application in full or in part, this decision does not necessarily reflect on the value of the organization or service, but rather on the need to be selective because resources are limited.
