Roads Year in Review Cover

In 2023, the Linn County Secondary Road Department led important programs and projects that continued reducing the number of bridges classified as “poor,” increasing the Pavement Condition Index, increasing responses to work orders, and more to improve the secondary road system for Linn County residents and visitors.

One of the top accomplishments from 2023 was the release of the Track-a-Plow website which allows individuals to see the past and current locations of Linn County’s snowplows during winter weather events. Additional highlights from 2023 include completing the Bertram “Blue” Bridge replacement and relocation project, maintaining Linn County’s roadsides, preserving the paved road network, and improving the rock road network.
