Collection bin locations:

• Linn County Community Services Building, 1240 26th Ave. Ct. SW, Cedar Rapids
• Linn County Public Service Center, 935 2nd St. SW, Cedar Rapids

A message from Ethan:

“I am Ethan Lowder. I am 15 years old and a student at Xavier High School. This year to honor Veterans Day, I am starting a service project to collect socks, hats and gloves and will deliver all items on Veterans Day, November 11th. You may already be aware that Linn County has over 18,000 proud Veterans, many who struggle every day with the basic needs. As winter will be setting in soon, I want to help in some way. My own family has a long history of military service so I am so proud of all of our Veterans! If you have clean, new or like new items to donate, it is very much needed and appreciated.”
