To assist Linn County residents who plan to attend the caucuses on February 1, Linn County Election Services has made available to the public an online locator tool. In cooperation with the Linn County Democratic and Republican Parties, a tool was created using the familiar format of the Linn County’s election lookup tool. The locator tool has been optimized for mobile devices and can be accessed at www.linncountyelections.org/caucus.
How the Caucus Locator Tool Works
There are 3 easy steps in finding your caucus location.
Step 1: Enter your house number and press search.
Step 2: Select your street address from the resulting list. You can refine your search if needed.
Step 3: View the caucus locations assigned by each party for your address.
A link to obtain driving directions from Google Maps is also available on the results page along with the caucus date and start times.
Other Important Caucus Information
• Individuals must appear in person to participate. Absentee ballots are not available.
• Individuals must caucus at the location assigned to their address by their respective party.
• A person’s voting location for an election is not necessarily the person’s assigned caucus location.
• Caucuses for both parties begin at 7 p.m. Caucus goers are encouraged to arrive early.
While caucuses are administered by the local Democratic and Republican Parties, Linn County Election Services anticipates receiving numerous public inquires about caucus locations in the days leading up to February 1. This locator tool will help Linn County Election Services and the local Parties direct caucus-goers to their correct locations while also allowing the public to find the information without assistance.
