Satellite voting stations have been established for the Feb. 2, 2016 School Special Elections. The stations will be located in Springville High School and Prairie High School during the dates and times listed below.
• Springville High School 400 Academy St, Springville Jan 19 2:30pm-8:30pm
• Prairie High School 401 76th Ave SW, Cedar Rapids Jan 21 2:30pm-8:30pm
• Prairie High School 401 76th Ave SW, Cedar Rapids Jan 28 2:30pm-8:30pm
At the Springville High School location, absentee ballots will be available for voters of the Springville Community School District only. At the Prairie High School location, absentee ballots will be available for voters of the College Community School District only. Voter registration forms will be available at both locations for new registrations and registration changes.
College Community School District is seeking approval to issue $49.5 million in general obligation bonds and will elect a school board member due to a position that is currently filled by appointment. Springville Community School District is seeking approval to issue $4.7 million in general obligation bonds.
This early voting opportunity is in addition to the Linn County Auditor’s office which is open for absentee voting Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
