A paving project on County Home Road from Highway 13 west for 0.5 miles is scheduled to begin Monday, April 11. The project is expected to take 3-4 weeks for completion. The paving will be staged to allow one lane of traffic in each direction throughout the project but delays are to be expected.
The joint Linn County Roads and Cedar Rapids/Linn County Solid Waste Agency project consists of placing a 1” asphalt overlay, then an 8” concrete overlay over the existing surface. The contractor, Concrete Foundations, Inc. of Hampton, Iowa, anticipates a completion date of April 29, 2016.
