To help celebrate April as National County Government Month, Linn County launched a new feature on its website to highlight the work of county departments and employees, called “Linn County at Work.”
The featured story will change regularly and will showcase the various ways that county government works for residents every day and the vital role county services play in creating a healthy, vibrant and safe community.
Only one feature story will appear on the website homepage; however once there are multiple stories, the previous features will be archived on the website and easily accessible.
The first featured story is about the therapy dogs that visit the Linn County Juvenile Detention Center and the benefits the dogs provide to the youth at the Center through companion support and reading support.
