[ARCHIVED] Annual State of Linn County address is April 20

Linn County Supervisor Ben Rogers will present the 11th annual State of the County address April 20 at The Hotel at Kirkwood Center, 7725 Kirkwood Boulevard SW in Cedar Rapids. The luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and the program will begin at noon.

Supervisor Rogers will give the main address highlighting the successes, challenges and strategic initiatives for Linn County. New this year, Linn County’s other elected officials will also speak about initiatives within their offices, including the Linn County Attorney, Auditor, Recorder, Treasurer, and Sheriff’s Office.

The event is open to the public and free seating is provided for individuals who want to attend only for the program. Reservations for the lunch may be made on the League of Women Voters website (see link below) or by emailing the League of Women Voters Linn County at [email protected] by April 15.

Attendees will have an opportunity to participate in a mock election using new voting equipment from the Linn County Elections Office.
