Amy Johnson

Amy Johnson was sworn in as the District 2 Linn County Supervisor this morning Monday, May 2.

Johnson was appointed to the Linn County Board of Supervisors on April 22 by a special committee of county officers to fill the vacancy created when Supervisor Linda Langston stepped down to take a new position with the National Association of Counties in Washington, D.C. in April. Johnson was one of 11 applicants interviewed for the position.

Johnson will serve as District 2 Supervisor until a new District 2 Supervisor is elected in November 2016.

“I am honored to join the Board of Supervisors for the next six months. The feedback I’ve received from the public has been really amazing. They are impressed with the good things the county and the Board of Supervisors has been doing. I’m honored to be part of it, and I look forward to contributing,” said Johnson.
