[ARCHIVED] Options of Linn County to Celebrate 50th Anniversary with Open House Nov. 10

Options of Linn County is hosting an open house to celebrate its 50th anniversary of serving citizens with disabilities. The event is open to the public and will include displays, refreshments and tours of the facility. Options of Linn County provides day programs focused on living skills and community integration for adults with physical, intellectual and developmental disabilities.

WHAT: Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

WHAT: Public open house to celebrate Options of Linn County’s 50th anniversary of serving citizens with disabilities. Refreshments will be served and tours of the facility will be available.

Options of Linn County day habilitation program currently serves more than 140 adults through approximately 20 community-based activities each day. Many programs have an emphasis on volunteerism and giving back to the community. Projects include volunteer work with Meals on Wheels, churches, schools and animal rescue.

Options of Linn County has successfully achieved CARF accreditation since 1982. Application for reaccreditation is required every three years and applicants must meet rigorous review standards. CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) accreditation signifies a commitment to continually improving services, encouraging feedback, and serving the community.
