The proclamation cites religious, cultural and ethnic diversity enriches the quality of life in Linn County and that human dignity, equality and liberty are fundamental principles of our society. The proclamation further notes the Linn County Board of Supervisors supports the freedom of people of all religions, ethnicities and cultures to participate equally in our society.

“I think it’s incredibly important for Linn County to reaffirm our values that make our country a great place,” said Supervisor Stacey Walker.

The Board of Supervisors presented the proclamation to an assembled group of people who also value religious, ethnic and cultural diversity and represent a diverse cross-section of the community.
