Linn County was recently awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) of the United States and Canada for the County’s comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR) for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2016. This is the 28th consecutive year Linn County has received this recognition.
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting and represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
An Award of Financial Reporting Achievement was given to Linn County Finance Director Steve Tucker, CPA, to recognize his primary role in preparing the award-winning annual report.
