Absentee ballots will be available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. These hours are in addition to the normal Monday through Friday office hours for absentee voting. The Auditor’s Office is located in the Linn County Public Service Center, 935 2nd St. SW, Cedar Rapids.

• Monday, June 2: Last day to vote absentee in-person
In a Primary Election, Democratic and Republican Party voters select the candidates they want to see move on to the General Election ballot. Voters must be registered as a Democrat or a Republican in order to receive that party’s ballot. Voters may register with a party or change their party affiliation when requesting a ballot.
Since the pre-registration deadline for this election has passed, anyone not currently registered must follow Election Day registration procedures by providing acceptable proof of their identity and residency.
