[ARCHIVED] Fees lowered for online payment of license plate renewals and property taxes

The Linn County Treasurer’s Office is pleased to announce that the fee to renew license plate registrations and to pay property taxes online has decreased from 40 cents to 30 cents effective July 1, 2014 when using the eCheck payment option.

Residents can renew their license plate tags or pay property taxes conveniently online rather than wait in line at the Treasurer’s Office by using VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express credit cards or by eCheck. Only the eCheck payment option is 30 cents. Credit card payments have a non-refundable service delivery fee added to the amount due for the service of paying online with a credit card.
