Dr. Pramod Dwivedi Named President-Elect of the National Association of County and City Health Officials


The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) has named Linn County Public Health Director Dr. Pramod Dwivedi, President-Elect of its Board of Directors for the 2022-2023 term. Dr. Dwivedi assumed the role on July 1, 2022. He will become Board President on July 1, 2023. NACCHO’s Board of Directors establishes the association’s strategic direction and initiatives, sets the annual legislative agenda, approves official policy statements, ensures that annual goals are met, and provides financial oversight. The Board is NACCHO’s public face, and represents members in matters of policy, public health practice, and collaboration with health partners in the public and private sectors.


County Home Roundabout Now Reopened


The intersection of County Home Road and Alburnett Road is now reopened following a brief closure on July 7. Board of Supervisors Meeting Recap


The following is a recap from the Linn County Board of Supervisors meetings the week of July 1-8, 2022. The Board of Supervisors: 
Received a presentation and approved property tax levies for Fiscal Year 2022-2023 tax collections
  • Received a presentation from the Auditor's Office and approved property tax levies for Fiscal Year 2022-2023 tax collections
  • Approved a resolution for Contract and Performance and/or Payment Bonds for the Linn County Correctional Center Video Visitation Remodel Project
  • Approved a resolution for a residential parcel split for Peyton Second Addition
  • Authorized Chair to sign a certificate of self-insurance for Linn County’s contracts with Linn County Early Childhood Board for the Nurturing Parent Program – Short term
  • Authorized Chair to sign a certificate of self-insurance for Linn County’s contracts with Linn County Early Childhood Board for the Nurturing Parent Program – Long term
  • Authorized Chair to sign a certificate of self-insurance for Linn County’s contracts with Linn County Early Childhood Board for the Early Care and Educational Supportive Services
  • Approved a liquor license for Culver’s Garden Center & Greenhouse, 1682 Dubuque Rd., noting all conditions have been met
