Child Development Center
The Linn County Child Development Center offers full and half day early childhood programs for children ages 2 to 5. The center also offers child development services to families with low incomes and to children with special needs, so parents can hold employment or participate in college or job training.
Program Highlights
- Highly qualified staff (PDF): All lead teachers have Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, with endorsements in Special Education. All assistant teachers have AA or CDA. Low staff turnover allows children to be cared for by a consistent group of teachers.
- NAECY Accreditation: Linn County Child Development Center was one of first centers in the state accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and has been so since 1990.
- The Center follows Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Guidelines by providing free, nutritious, home-style meals (Non-Discrimination Statement).
